The summaries on the back of books annoy me sometimes. This is not Jeopardy. Things do not need to be phrased in questions. When I read "can these reluctant heroes defeat the forces of darkness?' my immediate reaction is "No. The end."

Thursday was interesting, as my neighbors decided to have some sort of party like thing. By party like thing, I mean something that caused them to play their music so loudly that my pictures were moving. I can only imagine what it must have been like in their apartment if my walls were shaking that much. I don't think I've ever actually seen anything like it. The fact that it was 2:30 in the morning didn't help. I also didn't hear any people. It was strange.

I have spent my free time this weekend playing The World Ends With You, and reading about the correlation between microtubule distribution and cancer prognosis. It is entirely possible I am in the right profession.

I have recently realized how much my friends censor themselves when they talk to me. And I appreciate it, I really do, because my family members don't censor themselves at all anymore, and it bothers me a little.

Speaking of things that leave you horribly scarred, someone mentioned that 4chan had lots of nice wallpapers, and that I should check there. This was a bad idea. That is all.

Went to the mall with Amanda. She needed a new purse, and she found one. I helped :)
The cheesecake factory may not have good food, but they do have good cheesecake. Not as good as Miss Jodi's, but I don't think anything could be.
My bareMinerals makeup continues to be awesome. We were out for a while, and it didn't hurt my eyes at all. I am constantly amazed by this.

I have some free time. I like talking to people. I can start using LJ again. Probably.

In other news, my new computer was a good purchase because
1) My old hard drive died
2) 5 years is a pretty good lifespan for a computer anyway
3) The box for the keyboard has kept the cat entertained for over a month now. Really. It's rather amusing.

Unfortunately, I don't think the box will be moving with us. Alas. On to packing!

I seem to have lost one of my Tigger socks with the orange bobble on the end. This is a catastrophe of epic proportions.

The cat is systematically licking the lotion off my elbows. Blech.
I get a Dave!
He's coming up to visit tomorrow, and staying for a bit. Hoorah!

I had something interesting to say, but now I forget.

Usually when I'm this tired, I look at the clock and it says 230 am or something. Not 945. But that's the way this weeks been.
Ciao.

My house is now incredibly tidy, if not incredibly clean. I'm working on that next. closets and pantry and tables and drawers are all ordered, and now I have lots of trash.

I am feeling very melancholy, which stands to reason, I suppose, but I want to do things, or be things, and it's not happening just yet so instead I want to read, and I can't seem to read fast enough to keep up with my thoughts.

I've never really had a journal before. This could get interesting.

So I met with Kirk about putting my house on the market, and now I have a list of things to do. All those books I put away earlier? That was a good start. Now I need to get rid of the rest of them. I don't know how I'm going to be able to live with just two bookshelves, and half empty ones at that. I also need to get everything off the floor of my hall closets, and to organize underneath my sink.
Y'all know me. I don't often get told I need to organize more.

Also, I had a temp job today. It went really well. I ended up working for about 10 hours and I'm going back for a couple of hours tomorrow as well. It was just filing, paperwork type stuff, but it was rather disorganized, so I got to shuffle papers into neat little piles. Things like that calm me down. They also said that any time they needed a temp, they would ask for me. So there, stupid other lab place.

I heard Fall Out Boy's "This ain't a scene, it's an arms race" on the radio today, and I really liked it.

Off to clean. Clean clean clean.
